Hail holy Queen, Mother of mercy,	Salve Regína, Mater misericórdiae,
our life, our sweetness, and our hope.	vita, dulcedo et spes nostra salve!
To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve.	Ad te clamámus, éxsules filii Evae.

To thee do we send up our sighs,	Ad te suspirámus geméntes et flentes
mourning and weeping in this valley of tears.	in hac lacrimárum valle.
Turn then, most gracious Advocate,	Eia ergo, advocata nostra, illos tuos
thine eyes of mercy toward us.	misericórdes óculos ad nos convérte.
And after this our exile	Et Jesum, benedíctum fructum ventris tui,
show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus	nobis post hoc exsílium, osténde.
O gentle, O loving, O beloved,	O clemens, o pia, o dulcis
O Virgin Mary.	Virgo Maria!
